Academic Entry. Either NCEA Level 3; OR a level 4 qualification of 60 credits or more on the National Qualifications Framework; OR University study equating to 50% of first year workload; OR Equivalent professional experience |
Aim of Qualification: |
|
Graduates of the Bachelor of Applied Science will be able to:
a. Apply professional practice skills in the area of exercise, health or sport settings
b. Design and conduct research relating to a significant area of inquiry in an exercise, health or sport setting
c. Critically evaluate evidence to apply effective and appropriate actions in an identified context.
d. Apply problem solving techniques, knowledge and skills to address exercise/health/sport issues relevant to others.
e. Critically apply the principles of exercise science to implement change to a range of populations.
f. Address sustainability from cultural, social, environmental and economic perspectives.
g. Assess and evaluate the cultural, social, environmental and economic impact of their practice and the practice of others. |
